Guaranteed Discount change effective January 1, 2013

We are eliminating the use of Guaranteed Discount. By January 2013, all member liability adjudication will be based on the actual contracted discount with the provider. This will create consistency among Personal Choice®, Keystone Health Plan East, and Traditional plans. Self-funded billed amounts and client claim reports will reflect the actual contractual discount associated with the facilities their employees and members use.

We are giving you advanced notice to ensure that you are informed of this pending change. We will be communicating additional details to you during the first quarter of 2012
